My CPU recorded a max 49*c. Not bad.. it could take abit more heat.. Room for overclocking =D GPU was recorded at a piping hot 73*c. That's wow. Anytime and i'll start to smell silicon. Burnt one that is. Oh well, i guess the GPU will spare me noting to overclock it. Unless i replace the stock cooler, which will void my warrenty for the card if i do so. Wadever.. At least my CPU has quite some room for me to play with.

Anyway, my system is running on:
CPU- AMD Athlon 64 3500+
GPU- XFX 6600GT

Yea, XFX's card does give me a rather small fan.. Which explains the high temp.

Cooling within the case is done by 2 120mm fan and 1 80mm fan. 1 120mm for exhaust and the other 120mm fan with the 80mm fan for air intake. yea, 120mm fan is huge. case cooling can be said to be at the optimum.. so all the heat has to be reduced thru their respective cooler.. CPU shld be a small prob.. but the GPU.. we'll see..

To & Fro

Yep, i'm back once again. The trip was, well, better then i expected.. In fact, it was an eye-opener. But sadly, there wasn't anyone in the tour group of around the same age as me. And i can say there wasn't another teen except my sis -.-'

Well well, first day there and it was already freezing cold at -4*c (as what the ever-friendly SIA pilot says). Sounds cold but i somehow made do with a normal long sleeve tee under my TMS wind breaker. Say, wind breaker aint specifically used for minus degree environment rite? Well, at least i did survive thru that.. The rest of em have to lug a bulky winter coat while i jus used a wind breaker. The tms crest was spotted all the way in japan ok.. haha

I wun go in details much. U jus go ahead and pay fer the trip to experience urself. I can onli say the weather's nice. See snow but not snowing, so wadever.. i wanted some snowing but it came in liquid form instead -.-' raining. came on the day we went to disneyland. so many rides close. ahh..

water + cold temp + wind = no joke

it was freezing me thru that micron thin tms wind-breaker. At least my brain was still warm enuff to function and decide to seek shelter back in the bus. LOLx

Scenery there was very nice. Mountains everywhere with white snow covered tops and such. Cars oso very nice. Evo, STi, Golf GT, 350Z, NSX, RX7 and the nice nice powerful cars everywhere. Speaking of cars, i actually went to the Toyota Showroom all the way in tokyo. Almost all the toyota's cars are there. And guess wad? i was so so lucky to witnessed the launch of the all new Camry. Tho its not really my type of car, but i tink the looks so much nicer then the current one. I saw the new Lexus IS series oso. Now, that's what i call neat. I tink i'm planning to aim fer that car already. Tho its abit small, but i still go for looks. Hah.

And yea, i tink throughout the trip there, i seem to have spotted a few of the scenes from Initial-D. Let's see.. I tink i spotted the petrol station where was working working, the tofu shop where Jay stays and the railway crossing where Jay spotted the girl he likes across the track that part u noe. Yea, the tofu shop is not really a tofu shop -.-' i recognise the parking space beside the shop where Jay park his AE86 and the shop does look exactly like the one from the show, jus the the tofu shop name is gone. So is the petrol station, where theres the garage beside the petrol station's minimart. I do keep a lookout for these ok.. Anyway, the parking space beside the tofu shop doesn't stand a AE86 when i pass by, but its a cool orange nissan 350Z!

Japanese have cool inventions and technology, as quoted from the tour guide. One, is the toilet bowl. Toilet seat warmer is good for winter. But it states warmer, not heater. So why is it so so hot? Then it has auto cleaner, which cleans up ur butt after u are done with ur business. Sounds so fantastic, but all it does is shoot water up ur ass. Worse of all, it stated warm water, not hot water, BUT i tink there's the same prob with the seat warmer. Tried it once, never a second time. I tink i prefer the manual way of cleaning up.. The tour guide says there's some newer model which blows warm air to dry up. But now i noticed he used the word warm, so i guess i wun giv it a try even if i come across. Some great invention it is..

Happy New Year!!!

Year of Dog is approaching... First thing first, i have officially regained my freedom as of yesterday 6pm. Goodbye to HSA. Time for some money spending again, haha. Yesterday after work went to People's Park with my parents to eat dinner. Then walk walk walk dam long at Chinatown see the new year stuff and such. But well, i was pretty tired after work.. and all the mass of people jus make me go blur there. So slpy sia. Then later family go ntuc, i stay in the car slp. Lucky never die of CO poisoning. They went in ntuc for like a hour plus sia..

Oh well.. Went back TMS tis morning. Shawna sms me to meet at sch at 11 but i was aslp when she sent me the sms.. Onli tis morning at 10 when she sms me the 2nd msg did i wake up and read the msg. Still, i managed to figure its an hour be4 reaching 11 despite my half slp mode. Rushed all the way there.. Jus in time (tho shawna and cheryl were already there). I must say, an hour frm sengkang to tms within an hour is quite impressive.. much more considering i was still aslp in bed an hour back. Hah.

Managed to find quite alot of teachers.. But my class ah.. dunno wad happen. Onli me, cheryl, shawna, caroline and adriel went back. All that's left of 4i? Haha. Rolland did went back. I saw him at the bus stop from the bus.

Went back Loyang pri sch too.. Not much teachers there i could find.. But managed to meet my CL teacher.. At least i tink i did refreshed her memory on me. Haha. Then went downtown with a couple of pri sch frenz to eat mac. Dam funi la go out with them.. All the funi stuff..

Wootz.. tmr flying to tokyo... Much faster then i expect. Din even pack my luggage yet. That's alot of things to bring.. And its a negative celsius environment there now.. Hopefully pilots dun do ice skating with their planes... Do they?

Casing Mod

Geez... Saw quite a number of modded pc cases on the forums.. Chio like what sia. Taking a second look at my case, i figured i wun be far from them!

Yea, i've got a really nice pc case too. Would say its got a great design. But the prob is the interior lighting.. Sure i've got a number of UV Led Fans in already, making its already pretty bright. But hell, the ugly wires and stuff still looks... er... unsightly within the case. So, i've plan to get 2 UV cold cathode fluorescent light (CCFL) and do some "make overs" for my wires to make them nicely UV reactive and glow nicely inside the case. Yea.. I have to work on those unsightly wiring somehow. Maybe i'll do some re-wiring and organise the interior nicely. Prepared to spend 50 bucks on all the lightings and cosmetic application. Another 80 for a Zalman 7000B-Cu, 100 for a SATA HDD and a DDR400 512 ram to enable my system to support dual channel memory. Dam.. Lots of money.

For those who don't get what i'm trying to say in my previous paragraph, its actually that i'm trying to change the internal organs of my PC to make it healthier and giving it a plastic surgery at the same time to make it more chio. And although i'm doing the operation myself, the fee will still be costly. (well, i tink the previous paragraph makes much much more sense to me and this paragraph makes me more confused =P)

Right.. Enough about that.. I'll jus take photo of the end product so you all can get a better idea. Lolx. And yea, i jus got granted to take my last day of work off to go back sch! Last day of work brought forward to.. TMR! hahaha.

Work Work Work

Yep... Pulling into the final phase of my expected work period. My contract with HSA ends this friday. That'll bring my total period working at HSA to 6 weeks, tho not a consecutive 6 weeks.. I had a 3 weeks break in between i tink. Started working in the last few days of nov till dec and stop. Start work again early this year till now. But who knows, they might call me back again after CNY. Lolx. But i'm pretty tired of this job already. Hopefully if they call me back the next time, i wun work with softwares anymore but i'd pretty much like to work with hardwares. Hah!

And yea.. I seriously doubt i can get my last day off from work (coming fri) to go back to my sec and pri sch. Sad.. Ever since i graduate from pri sch, i would go back to find the teachers on CNY eve. Man, this year break record.. Even sec sch 1st year grad onli never go back liao... wth.

This is so sucky... But due to my veri meager pay, i was somewhat restricted to building only one pc for now. Pretty decent pc, but still not quite hardcore.. Maybe i should just focus on one and upgrade it as much as possible instead of having more pc.

Then i thought of a plan. A genius plan i would say. Since all i want is the satisfaction of building pc from scratch, why not use other people's money and build a pc myself? Yep, you got it. So this goes out to those who plans to upgrade or build a new pc:

If you plan to buy a new PC or do some major upgradings, please look for ZmC.
I'll do it FOC(i don't mind if you wanna pay me too =P but FOC in my case still includes at least a drink), but the upgrades and parts you'll have to pay yourself, obviously. Doesn't matter if you want a hardcore gaming pc or just a decent pc for normal usuage, i'll recommand you some upgrades you can do. No, you heard me right. i'm serious about this. But i'll have to see if i have the time =P Usually it shld take about 2 days to completely build one from scratch, inclusive of buying parts frm simlim and all the softwares/drivers and windows installation. I dare say most of the time will be spent at simlim getting the best prices.

In addition, anybody would be kind enought to get me the Zalman 7000B-Cu LED? I would appreciate very much should i find one at my doorstep or in my socks tmr morning >.<

Anybody?

Fresh start all over?

Heh, due to overwhelming demand (i tink), i've decided to start bloggin once more. And yea, i deleted all the previous posts and start all over..

And jus went i started to work with blogger once more. Things get fucked up. I deleted my previous skin, which i really wanted to keep. Damn. Now i have to do all the re-scripting once more. Maybe i'll work on anyother new skin. Since i'm destined to totally start this blog anew with no traces of the past. Then let it be. Just as what shawna says.

FouR-i has split up pretty much and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Well, at least most of them seems to be. Seems that pretty much of the class have gone into JCs already. I'm the few who's... hmm, free. Yea, i've chosen to take the road to poly.

I can tell you i have no idea of what my future will be like when i take this road. But i went ahead with it anyway, only time will tell if this very step i took was a right choice or not..

I'll work hard.

In the mean time, work has eaten into my life pretty much of the "school-less days". Even during holidays end of last year, i've already started working, and working, and working =/ Life's so boring now. Particularly weekdays when i have to work. Early in the morning goes out, back in evening and i'll be dead beat. Because of work, i'd say i missed a fair bit of outings and stuffs with frenz.

Even as a temp staff, i can already sense that the working world is a much different place from where i have been for the past.. 10-12 years? Yea, teachers and goverenments and such encourage us to go for ur dreams and all these. But seriously, the world out there is jus all too practical. Its when i start working that i realise my dream to be a rally driver is pretty much impossible to achieve. So i don't even tink about it now. Even when i scaled down and aspire to be a web designer, i thought it was pretty impractical too. Like how many companies are there that really need that much frequent web updates and building new web? Besides, more and more people are having knowledge on html. It'll be hard to survive.

So yea, i suppose i'd take more practical courses in the poly. Maybe aeronautical engineering or business IT.

Now i really understand what stops ppl frm pursuing what they want in life. Its this practical society that hinders individuals. Everyone is afraid that they will fail in the midst of pursuing their dreams, which are usually eminent. This is where the practical society will label the fallen one as a failure. When one has fallen, even he/she wants to get up and start all over again, it'd be difficult. Because in the eyes of the society, the word "failure" has already been written all over you. Only a few strong ones can face this fact and work even harder, some even falling back down a few more times in the process. These are the ones who will eventually succeed and gain fame, wealth and their dreams. Many who cant handle what the society has to say about them, jus forget about their dreams and jus live life as it is.

Unfortunately i would say, i seem to fall under the latter category.
